Practice Information |
A former mechanical engineer for 20 yrs, I changed carreers to psychotherapy in 1996 and have been in private clinical practice since 2000. I am experienced in adult individual and couple psychotherapy, with an emphasis on problem solution and healing emotional pain. My primary treatment modality is psychodynamic psychotherapy. This approach focusing on healing emotional pain, understand why bad relationship patterns continue and how to change. I also incorporate other therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused, and Brief Therapy. Grief counseling is falso available In therapy, I speak to men in ways that they understand, and teach them how to listen so women feel heard and respected, and at the same time how to get their needs met. Women learn how to get emotional needs met and how to talk to a man so that they will pay attention and cooperate. Premarital counseling helps couples resolve unfinished emotional matters in the relationship, identify potential future conflicts and teaches ways to cope with conflict so that there is minimal emotional pain. |
