Northside, established in 1976, is a non-profit organization committed to helping heal the hurt in the lives of thousands of Hillsborough County residents suffering from or at risk of mental illness. With nationally accredited programs, Northside sets the standard for best practices in mental health treatment, while making mental health care affordable and accessible to individuals and families and building a safer, healthier community.

Serving more than 8,000 people per year at multiple sites throughout Hillsborough County, Northside is dedicated to providing innovative programs that change lives by helping individuals use their strengths and abilities to live productive, independent and happier lives. We know that with support, people with serious mental health issues can recover and learn to manage their symptoms and improve the quality of their lives.

We offer state-of-the-art clinical services for children, youths and adults. Our staff provides expertise to improve treatment and systems of care for children and youths who have been victims of violence, witnesses to violence or suffered traumatic loss. We provide nationally recognized approaches to treating individuals with dual mental health and substance abuse problems and individuals with long term, chronic mental health disabilities. With a staff of over 225 employees, including some of the most skilled and dedicated people in the industry, we stand ready to respond to the behavioral health needs of individuals and families.

ADULT, CHILD, AND FAMILY SERVICES: Provides information and referral; diagnosis and evaluation; family, individual, and group psychotherapies; case management; and medication follow-up services.
