Bio
Shawna Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters Degree in Counseling from Texas Womans University, and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University. Shawna has been a counselor for 25 years. Shawna is the Director of Mental Health Services at AIDS Outreach Center in Fort Worth. In addition to working with HIV/AIDS, Shawna has experience working with battered women, runaway teenagers, sexual abuse victims, gay and lesbian clients and couples. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and has training in Gottman Couples Counseling and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Shawna presented at the Texas State HIV/STD Conference on treating HIV+ gay men who were sexually abused as children. She is a member of the Texas Counseling Association, and co-wrote a chapter on careers in an AIDS Service Organization in the book, Many Paths, One Purpose: Career Choices for Social Work and Human Service Majors, by Tuyen Nguyen (Editor), 2006.

Lisetta Thomas is a Licensed Professional Counselor and also is a National Certified Counselor. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, Union Theological Seminary and the University of North Texas. A native Texan, she has lived in the metro-plex for almost 2 decades and has worked as a school counselor and maintained a small private practice since completing her LPC. With a background as a minister, chaplain and teacher, she brings a variety of experiences to her work as a counselor and therapist.
