In today’s world more and more consumers are cost driven. Unfortunately a large part the consumer’s opportunities maybe passed over because of this. Corporations impersonalise individual attention at the expense of governing their needs. Consumers need to be proactive towards recognizing their needs without compromising value. Cost is driven by competition. It also is driven by need, location, education, specialty and the cost of doing business. It is hard to understand value other than comparison. What is a true comparison?
When you go to buy a home most realtors will compare other similar homes in the surrounding area. This is standard procedure to determine the fair market value. If there are other amenities offered this creates a different scenario. Here lies within the difference. It creates a niche, a specialty.
If you were to seek out a surgeon as an example, odds would be that you would choose someone with advanced training and experience over someone who just got out of medical residency. This example presents the difference as experience and specialty.
If you were in need of dentistry would you go to someone working out of their home or to a store front business? Odds would be that you’d go to the business. Here is the difference of cost of doing business as well as location.
If keeping jobs and the economy are important as well as the environment then shopping, consuming and producing local products and service makes the most sense. Everyone loves a good value. Let the consumer think twice about what the true cost is associated with products or service.
