6 VEGETABLES THAT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE

Your mother was right when she urged to eat your vegetables- and now science backs her up.
Research shows that green leafy vegetables packed with important nutrients and eating them regularly can save your life protecting you from cancer, cardio-vascular disease and other serious conditions. Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D., author of “ From Fatigued to Fantastic”, tells that greens can compensate for the lack of nutrients in modern, processed food. “ For the first time in the history of mankind we are seeing people who are obese and malnourished”, he said. Tremendous rise in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions related to bad quality of food, environmental toxins present in the water, air, food. Besides this, greens are the single and the best source of natural nitrates, which get converted by the body to nitric oxide, a gas that lowers blood pressure and promotes blood flow. Since we produce less nitric oxide after age 40, it is imperative to eat even more nitrates to help the body to function optimally. To preserve the nutrition of greens, avoid boiling them, which deplete them of vitamins, and minerals. They are best eaten steamed, sautéed, or raw.
