Environmental Toxins and What You Can Do About It

ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS AND WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT

Some of the most dangerous culprits that inhibit a person's ability to achieve optimum health are environmental toxins. They are in the food, air, packaging, shampoo, cleaning supply and many other things that we do not pay attention.
According to the CDC” Fourth National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals, more than 212 chemicals have been found to be present in the blood and urine of most Americans.
The six most widespread chemicals are:

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) used as a flame retardant
Bisphenol A (PBA) found in plastic products, mostly-water bottles
Perfluorooctanic acid (PFOA) found in nonstick cookware
Acrylamide in items cooked in high temperature( french fries, fried chicken)
Mercury found in sea products
Methyl tert-butyl ester (MTBE), a gasoline additive released in car exhaust

There is scientific data that shows strong relationship between urine concentration of BPA and Type 2 diabetes and reduced testosterone levels.
The liver functions as the body's natural detoxification mechanism. It neutralizes toxins and helps to eliminate them, reducing the chance they will recirculate and stored in the body.
Unfortunately, as a result of vast exposure to multiple toxins, the liver is unable to break down fat soluble toxins, ( phase 1) which is the key to detoxification process. Then those toxins should be converted in to water- soluble compounds (phase2) and excreted via kidney and intestine (phase 3). If the liver is dysfunctional, toxins will not be broken down and eliminated but rather recirculated and stored in fat, brain and nervous system.
Toxic overload will create following symptoms:

Fatigue, weakness
Depression
Headaches, irritability
Cognitive problems: difficulty with memory and concentration, brain fog
Dark circles under eyes
Muscle and joint pain
Digestion, elimination problems
overweight, inability to lose weight

To help your liver to function properly you have to implement nutritional detoxification program that may include following whole food supplements:

ChelaCo- to support the body natural defenses against environmental stressors.
Vitanox -to increase antioxidant activity of liver needed for process of detoxification.
Gotu Kola -to stimulate body's natural repair process.
Rhodiola and Ginseng complex -to increase natural defenses against environmental stress.
LivCo- to eliminate naturally occuring toxins and clean the liver, support normal liver function, provide antioxidant activity needed for the body to fight environmental stress.
Vitamins A, C, E, and broad spectrum of B vitamins, magnesium, glutathione will be needed for phase 1 and 2 of detoxification in the liver.

Several substances have ability to simultaneously to influence Phase 1 and 2 detoxification in the liver:
green tea catechins, ellagic acid from the tea, and chemicals in watercress.

Research has indicated that a program as short as 10 days can lead to distinct changes in person profile.
During this program you should be on diet rich in green vegetables, fruits and mostly alkaline foods.
A 28 day comprehensive detox program is the gold standard for improving the health of individuals with significant symptomatology.
To check on patient's profile before and after detox program we can use laboratory test.
We can not change many factors in our environment, but we can change our attitude toward
them: take responsibility in our own hands. Detoxification program is the very first thing to do for yourself.
