I just read an article by naturopaths Eric and Kristina Lewis, on how good health starts with good digestion. Poor digestion not only leads to indigestion, heartburn, gas, and bloating, but also has many other effects on the body that you may not realize, such as migraines, sinus issues, skin conditions, joint pain, dandruff, allergies, fogginess, low energy, and even autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto’s or rheumatoid arthritis. Three things you can work on right away to help with proper digestion is to take the time to thoroughly chew your food, eliminate common food sensitivities such as dairy or wheat, and manage stress by practicing belly breathing.
