“I'm the product of 20 years of therapeutic practice and have attended to over 1,800 clients. I'm eclectic - I work in many modes -cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, existential. Each client is assessed at the beginning, middle and end of therapy. I customize my approach to my clients' symptoms, their character & their talents. I have no ideal client but I press hard to go beyond clichés and stereotypes. I look for a "healing fiction" that is practical & useful. My specialty - way beyond techniques of behavioral, cognitive and inter active and psychodynamic modes - I believe is that I am quick to cut to the chase with fresh insights. I believe I listen well and am direct. I work cross culturally; across gender and race. I'm a patient advocate. I team up with ancillary helpers to move clients through their issues. I have won awards for my work with Multiple Sclerosis and with older adults. I am a published writer and I nurture my clients' creativity.”
