Sometimes we feel unhappy due to chronic stress, family conflict or relationship struggles, loss of a loved one, and/or feeling without a purpose in life.
These issues are extremely common; roughly 25% of all adults in the United States experience depression each year. Unfortunately, only 1/3 of adults in emotional distress actually seek professional help, which is surprising considering research has proven repeatedly that psychotherapy will reduce most symptoms as well as improve functioning
Over the years, I have helped hundreds of adults and adolescents improve their functioning and happiness by:
* Finding new meaning in life and building a spirituality
* Teaching communication skills for improving relationships
* Increasing control over thoughts, feelings, and behaviors,
* Providing emotional support during difficult transitions
* Overcoming addiction and preventing relapse.
