Each individual or couple is unique. For this reason my approach is eclectic and combines a family of origin approach with a humanism/existentialism. More importantly I like to investigate patterns that are repeated in our lives and how we can locate the payoffs for those patterns. In my opinion psychotherapy is a way to build trust with another individual, explore the reasons we have for our actions and discover whether these actions match the life we are living now. Once the client and I have a strong therapeutic alliance, we can find a way for the client to make positive changes while feeling supported. In addition I am certified in EMDR and use Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy to relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression.
