I honor each individual's unique characteristics and strengths. In that spirit, I tailor my methods to the unique needs of the client - utilizing cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic, and humanistic modes. I am warm, encouraging and a strong motivator.
My extensive background as a psychiatric social worker helps me to advocate for my clients and has provided me with special skills and life experiences that I bring to my psychotherapy practice.
My practice includes individuals and families dealing with a large spectrum of emotional issues - and ranging in age from 5 to 97. I have special interests in bereavement therapy, trauma, life transitions, working with the elderly, and adoption/infertility counseling.
I offer evening, daytime and Sunday hours.
When possible, I make house calls to elderly or infirm clients in my local area.
Organizational memberships include: Give an Hour, a network of therapists providing free counseling services to returning troops and their families; American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. Affiliate of St. Vincent's EAP Provider Network.
I am conversant in both Hebrew and Yiddish as supplementary languages.
