I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults with the use of play and talk therapy. The mission of CK Counseling is to provide a safe and serene environment for children, adolescents and adults to share their inner most thoughts and feelings and provide the tools of communication, self esteem, and self awareness in order to establish a loving home environment. Play Therapy utilizes the therapeutic powers of play to assist the therapist in helping clients prevent or resolve emotional/psychological difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development. For adults, an eclectic approach utilizing Client Centered and Choice Theory mainly. Therapy can be overwhelming to a child and annoying to an adolescent. I use several creative therapeutic techniques which allow the client to express their thoughts and feeling in a non intrusive way. This fosters trust, confidence, and self awareness.
