I am bicultural and enjoy working with clients from all cultural backgrounds. I especially enjoy working with younger adults (20s-30s) and those who are new to therapy. I have extensive experience working with young professionals. I can help you if you are struggling.
Some of the issues I can help with are depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and grief (specialized training and experience in grief counseling).
I can provide a safe, nonjudgmental setting for you to discover and change unconscious thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors may be interfering with your goals, relationships, and personal growth.
I also offer the practical and emotional support needed during challenging life-stage transitions. Therapy is also a place to explore thoughts and feelings you might not feel free to share with friends and relatives, for whatever reason.
I provide a safe, supportive, therapeutic relationship as a context in which to work through a variety of concerns, including:
Family-of-origin issues, effects of childhood trauma and neglect
Depression
Anxiety, worry, panic, emotional overwhelm, stress management
Relationship problems
Communication problems
Grief & loss (recent or delayed)*
Life transitions/adjusting to change
Bicultural difficulties
Academic concerns, career choice
Changing self-defeating thoughts and behaviors
Self-esteem
Trust issues
Values clarification, life purpose/meaning
