Contact Jennifer Spain
Jennifer received her training at highly-esteemed Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California. While there, she received over 3,200 hours of rigorous and intensive training in both Asian and Western medicine while earning her master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is nationally board certified in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Western Biomedicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is licensed in North Carolina as well as in California as a primary care provider. One of Jennifer’s greatest attributes as an Asian medicine practitioner is her ability to function as a partner in wellness. She strongly believes in the innate wholeness of each individual and the intrinsic healing capacity that lies within all of us. She has a genuine desire to see every patient fulfill his or her highest potential in life, and enjoys being a part of each patient’s individual journey. Jennifer utilizes many techniques during her treatments, including acupuncture, yin tui na, gua sha, moxibustion, and cupping. In addition, an herbal formula may be prescribed and/or appropriate supplements may be recommended. Additionally, Jennifer has specialized training in Five Element acupuncture – a unique system of diagnosis and treatment that excels in addressing imbalances and blockages at the mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. She finds this type of work especially rewarding, as these types of imbalances can often be the underlying root cause of many ailments that manifest physically.
