If you’re looking for a practice where you’re treated as an individual in a calm and nurturing environment then my practice might be for you. When I started Different Drummer Acupuncture in 1998 I tried to make it a place that people would want to come to and based on the comments I get from my patients I think that I’ve succeeded. Acupuncture is a complete medical system and as such can treat almost anything. That said I specialize in treating sports injuries in both adults and children, women’s health including fertility and pregnancy and all types of pain. In addition I work on allergies, colds and flu. By it’s very nature acupuncture is all about balance so I also find myself treating stress, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, digestive problems and lack of energy. I also do Mei Zen facial acupuncture where I can tonify and lift your face. By treating the person not just the symptom I get better overall results than if I just treat the symptom. One of the things I enjoy most about my practice is that I have entire families coming to me. It’s especially nice to be able to treat a preteen or teen and teach them about acupuncture and the importance of maintaining good health. I believe that the less stress one can have in their life the better so I have evening and weekend appointment times.
