I am a licensed clinical social worker and I truly look forward to working with you. It can often be an overwhelmingly difficult decision to reach out for help and I appreciate the challenges that you may face. I am committed to being with you along this journey of self-understanding, empowering you towards change, offering you support and acceptance along the way. I work with individuals and families coping with a variety of concerns, whether that is a recent transition in their life, an experience of grief or loss, relationship distress, or simply a desire to better understand yourself and gain balance in your emotional life. Additionally, I specialize in working with women and their partners throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period and all of the complexities in between. I also take a particular interest in working with early childhood mental health. I utilize my experience and training to work with young children though play therapy and partner with their parents to gain insight into their child's experience and promote social and emotional well-being. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a strengths based perspective, which means we will look at your strengths and work towards using your strengths to make desired changes in your life. I also utilize a psychodynamic understanding of individuals to guide my work. This understanding will assist us in exploring how your life experiences may have shaped your decisions, emotions, and relationships. Additionally, through my training I have developed an understanding of mindful practice and how it can lead to a self-awareness and a positive approach to our own emotions, our own life and our own happiness.
