Pediatric and Adult Speech Therapy
Therapies of the Rockies
Our mission at Therapies of The Rockies is to provide the highest quality, professional speech and language therapy services to all clients in an individualized and family-centered manner. We focus on the functional needs of each client, and provide therapy with the purpose to generalize the gains in the private speech therapy setting to natural communication environments, such as a home, school, child-care center, and community.
Amanda King founded Therapies of The Rockies in 2008 to assist families with obtaining quality speech therapy services without having to go to a hospital setting. Amanda worked in the Colorado school systems for three years as well as in home health agencies prior to founding Therapies of The Rockies. She currently focuses on making sure that every client receives the best speech therapy and that Therapies of The Rockies maintains it’s high standard of excellence.
Bio
Therapies Of The Rockies

In working with children, this practice centers therapy on developing functional language skills to ease the frustration in communication for both the child and parents and to give the child skills to communicate effectively with peers. We utilize current technology in our practice, such as the use of Ipads and Ipad applications, to extend the therapy from the therapy room to real world experiences. Our philosophy is that family involvement is the key to a child’s success in therapy and we work closely with parents and siblings to maximize the client’s potential.

Katherine Jones

Speech Language Pathologist CCC

Prior to joining the Therapies of the Rockies team in June 2011, Katherine completed her clinical fellowship year in Aurora Public Schools, gaining concentrated experience in the implementation of small-group language skills therapy.

As each child is unique, Katherine aims to conduct therapy sessions in a way that will spark the child’s interest and meet individual learning needs. Through an emphasis on family inclusion, her ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between the therapy room and the outside world where vital communication occurs.
