Full Circle Counseling
I have a long history working with adults, adolescents, and the elderly who experience problems associated with unexpected changes in life, loss of significant relationships, sexual orientation, sexual violence, domestic violence, and family of origin. My goal is to help people see the relationship between the unresolved issues in their life and how they manifest as problems related to depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and problems adjusting to life style transitions. I am prepared to meet you where you are, help you to understand the problems you are experiencing and learn what will help you to improve your situation. There are practical approaches to these issues and you can develop skills to improve your everyday experiences.
Education/Training
In addition to completing my education as a Licensed Psychologist, I have trained with young adults with traumatic brain injury as well as people who have experienced strokes. Each required extensive mental health intervention to adjust to a new way of living. I am a Certified Neutral with the Minnesota Supreme Court and have been an active volunteer with Community Mediation Services since 2004. I have worked with parenting and custody related issues with families going through divorce. I have several years of experience working with adults and families who have experienced sexual violence.
Bio
I am a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Minnesota. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Gerontology from St. Cloud State University. I live with my partner and we have two adopted children. I am convinced the life experiences we encounter hold meaning for us in ways that are not always clear. Healing comes from within and fear holds us back. I am willing to do the work with you.
