Strength Based,Collaborative Psychotherapy
Adolescent, Individual, Couples & Reconstituted Families
Do you have a vision of how you want your life to be and reality isn't matching up? I am an experienced licensed psychologist. I can help you achieve satisfying relationships, heal from current or past trauma, and work with you to reduce stress and overcome depression and anxiety. I have a collaborative style and help you identify your inner strengths and develop the skills and insight necessary to achieve your goals.
By considering psychotherapy you are embracing the possiblity of change in your life and this takes incredible courage. It is an investment of mental and emotional energy as well as time and money. I encourage you to take the time to find the right therapist for you.
I am a licensed psychologist in the states of CA (PSY21080) and NY (015730).
Since September of 1990, I have been working with children, adolecsents adults and families from varied ethnic groups and with a broad range of problems. I specialize in the areas of trauma, affect regulation (reducing stress, anxiety and depression) and strenghtening relationships. I also specialize in working with reconstituted families (stepfamilies).
I often run psycho-educational groups on stress reduction, parenting issues, and on strengthening relationships. From 1990 - 2002 I primarily worked in schools and in mental health clinics. In the fall of 2003 I opened a private practice and also began supervising interns. I also serve as a consultant to clerical leaders, school adminstrators, teachers and mental health professionals.
