Change Your Suffering
Talking to explore, see and grow free
To suffer is to experience psychological distress. It tends to be one of the hardest things to solve or understand alone.
One thing that makes it hard is that it is often more complex that we think. Yet, many of us struggle to figure it out in a quiet, tireless, wordless or even pleasant, way. Some of us get stuck in being over-responsible, believing our pain is our fault, or fearing perhaps it's a figment of our imagination, and hounding ourselves to simply stop dwelling on it.
In therapy, we discover that our suffering is taken seriously. Within a conversation that is both supportive and personal, we are helped to grow our sense of safety, increase our trust, and to speak candidly. It is a process that can bring about many benefits, including emotional relief, personal insights and expansion of self and life.
Bio
I am a licensed psychotherapist in San Francisco. I have 20 years experience working in the field of mental health. My educational pursuits also lead me to completing a intensive post graduate training program which awarded me a certificate to practice adult psychoanalysis.
I have worked in a wide range of settings including community programs, hospital psychiatry units, women's health, family court, and adolescent care.
I am happy to speak by phone about your situation and to see if I may be of help.
