Cathy Lamp, LCSW, CEAP
I Am a Seasoned Therapist with Over 20
Years Experience Helping People Overcome Life Challenges.
I am a licensed therapist with experience both in private practice and community mental health . I have had the opportunity to help my clients overcome many behavioral and emotional issues including grief, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression and trauma resulting from childhood or later life experience. I believe that we are all capable of finding our true value thru increased awareness and understanding of our internal life experience.
My practice is based on the premise that we all have struggles and everyone has an ability to heal. My role is to assist the person in learning about their personal power and using it to create a life that is meaningful to them. I do this in a compassionate, insightful , and straightforward manner. Creating a safe space for my clients in which to heal is of primary concern.
I draw from a variety of tools and orientations to therapy including EMDR, ReDecision therapy, DBT,and MIndfulness approaches. .I believe that therapy tools need to fit the individual, couple or family. I utilize well researched interventions that have been proven effective. I work with individuals, couples, families and also offer DBT groups. In addition, I offer a free in person consultation.
