Education
My degree of the 70's was an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. While working in dentistry, I completed a BFA at Hunter College in painting in 1985. In the early 90's, I graduated from Tri State College of Acupuncture with a Master's in Science in Acupuncture and continued to complete a Post-graduate degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine. I feel that my professional work now is a wonderful mixture of science and creativity.

I have been fortunate to have studied with many masters in the field from all over the world, such as Mark Seem, Bob Flaws, Richard Tan, Kiiko Matsumoto and many others. I participated in a program of education and knowledge sharing in China with doctors in hospitals in Beijing and Shanghai.
I continue to read and study this rich medicine and the wealth knowledge in the field. I have also studied Zheng Gu Tui Na and incorporate it's techniques of medical massage in my practice.
Bio
A native New Yorker, I have been a healthcare professional since the late 1970's. I love helping people and watching them reach their personal and professional goals. Through my work with others, I have also grown personally and professionally.

In my leisure time, I enjoy painting, going to see theater and film, concerts and being out of doors. The beach has always been a favorite of mine. I love swimming and walking on the beach.
I practice Qi Gong everyday and in the past, studied with a master of Tai Chi Chuan for 15 years.

I have always been interested in Asian art and culture, but came to study acupuncture and Chinese medicine because of a personal health problem. Like many of my patients, I had tried all types of western medical drugs and treatments over a period of 5 years with no results. I suffered from an inner ear problem which resulted in debilitating attacks of dizziness and nausea. Finally, I had treatment with an acupuncturist. Soon after starting treatment, I had no more dizziness. I progressed from relief care through to maintenance care and have not had a recurrence in more than 25 years. I was able to regain my good health and enjoyment of life in a short time. I was a dental professional for years, but I returned to school to become a Licensed Acupuncturist and Certified Herbalist.

My personal health crisis led me to change my life in wonderful and amazing ways!
