Dr. Butch Losey, PCC-S
I work specifically with couples who have discovered infidelity. Couples are traumatized when infidelity is discovered and the clinician needs to help the couple implement immediate steps to prevent further damage to the relationship. Counselor strategies for infidelity are much different than what a traditional counselor would utilize. When couples set up an appointment with me, they will get in quickly, experience a specific treatment approach for infidelity, assessment of the traumatic symptoms (intrusive thoughts, chronic questioning, investigating) and immediate interventions to implement. Call to receive my article "Ten Things to Avoid during Recover from Infidelity".
I also helped couples with creating intimate communication, establishing appropriate couple boundaries with others outside the relationship, conflict skills, creating intimacy, stopping criticism, relationship skills for young couples, expressing feelings, and problematic internet use. Relationship problems due to porn use? See my recent blog post.
I am based in Cincinnati but I have couples travel from Columbus, Dayton, Louisville and Lexington. These couples will typically schedule intensive sessions (3-hour session). Intensive sessions are beneficial for managing infidelity because the help you need is not delayed over multiple weeks of 55-minute sessions.
