Bio
Hi. I am Dr. Fred Gerhard, a licensed clinical psychologist. My background is in positive psychology, I am always interested in what is best about the people I work with. I am the Director at Inspirations. My training was in person-centered therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. My research has been in the area of optimism and burnout.

Education/Training
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Hartford in the Graduate Institute for Professional Psychology there in 2000. Prior to that I obtained a master of arts in clinical psychology from American International College in Springfield, MA. My bachelor of science and a minor in philosophy come from Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA. I did my pre-doctoral practicum trainings at American International College Counseling Center, Center for Human Development's Community Support Program in Holyoke, MA, the Waterford Country School in Quaker Hill, CT, and the Connecticut Valley Hospital, in Middletown, CT. My pre-doctoral internship was at the Seacoast Mental Health Center in Portsmouth, NH, and my post-doctoral internship was at Community Healthlink in Worcester, MA.
