If you are looking for a therapist, I would encourage you to speak to at least three different clinicians on the phone or take the time to have an initial consultation visit. It's important that you feel comfortable enough to let yourself be known by whomever you choose to work with. For no other reasons than chemistry and connection, some of us will be a good match for you and others won't.
When I commit to working with a couple or individual, I am intending to create an intimate relationship that is built on trust and connection. The relationship needs to be able to withstand the tumult of painful and positive memories, angry outbursts as well as joyful hopes for the future.
I have been working as a psychotherapist for twenty five years. As I age and grow, my own life perspective certainly effects the work that I do.However, the foundation of my work is rooted in a strong connection between me and the people I come to know.

Bio
Since 1987 I have been in Private Practice. During this time my experience has been diverse. In addition to working with general ailments that fall under the umbrella of depression and anxiety, I have some specific areas of expertise. Some of these are women who struggle with body image, relationships of all sorts, livelihood, life transitions,self-esteem, and creative expression.
For twelve years I was a volunteer therapist for The Aids Health Project seeing pro-bono clients living and dying with the illness. I have also worked with people struggling with other chronic illnesses.
As a supervisor, I have worked with student interns from the California Institute of Integral Studies,
in addition to Haight Ashbury Psychological Services.
As a volunteer clinician for A Home Within, I have worked with foster children as a pro-bono clinician, and have served as the Clinical Director of the Golden Gate San Francisco chapter.
