One of the most vital aspects of a successful therapeutic interaction is a genuine, empathetic, supportive relationship between the client and therapist. I focus on the client's strengths while also directing attention to those behaviors and thoughts that hold people back from achieving their goals. My aim is to provide a warm and nurturing environment where together we can work through and address your personal challenges, develop an understanding of the impact life experiences have on behavior and mood, utilize healthy, constructive coping skills, and empower real change in your life.

I am a NYC licensed therapist with a practice dedicated to helping teens, adults, couples, and families living with a variety of issues including work, family, school and relationship stress, depression, anxiety/panic attacks, PTSD, substance abuse, eating disorders/food addiction, and bereavement, in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Bio
I am a licensed therapist based in New York City, who focuses on treating individuals, including adolescents and adults, couples, and families. While I have a specialty in treating eating disorders, personality disorders, and post traumatic stress disorders, I am also trained to work with individuals with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, work and family-related stress, life transitions, and other emotional and behavioral concerns. I received my bachelors from New York University, my masters in clinical social work from Columbia University, and am currently pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology.

I was initially trained at Bellevue Hospital where I worked with adults with serious mental illness. Later, I interned and was hired as a member of the Intensive Outpatient team at The Renfrew Center of New York where I treated individuals suffering from eating disorders with dual diagnoses of depression, anxiety, OCD, personality disorders and trauma. Following this, I was trained in various empirically-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Restructuring, and the Maudsley Method while working at The Center for Eating Disorders (CED) at Sheppard Pratt Psychiatric Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. While at CED I was a member of the Psychology Team where I provided individual, group, couples, and family treatment in the inpatient and day treatment programs.
Most recently I worked at the Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy treating community-based children, teens, and adults utilizing an integrative, psychodynamic approach. I am pleased to be working alongside individuals who desire positive change in their lives and am eager to continue helping people find the motivation to accomplish their goals.
