During the past 35 years I have devoted my energy to learning numerous ways to promote emotional health and make healing possible for individuals, couples, and families. i practice holistically, combining trauma recovery theories and treatments with a fundamental basis in Intergenerational Family Therapy, based on Contextual Family Therapy and Family Systems Theory. in addition i use EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Psychodynamic Therapy, TFT (Thought Field Therapy), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Focusing, Sand Tray Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Allowing the mind/body connection to strengthen promotes the individuality of each therapy session and experience.
I work with each person to identify and diminish personal impediments to a healthy , functional life.

Bio
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing. I am an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Clinical member and Approved Supervisor. I am an Approved Consultant for the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association.
I have served on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Nursing from 1979 to the present, where I am currently mentoring new clinical faculty. I was the Director of the Clinical School of Marriage and Family Therapy of the Family Institute of Philadelphia from 1987 to 1998. I have done numerous workshops and classes on family therapy, trauma treatment, EMDR, and complex PTSD.
I have been in Private Practice since 1976 which I continue to enjoy.
