I have training in a variety of modalities including structural family therapy, emotionally focused couples therapy, trauma focused threapies(EMDR, prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy),Gestalt therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and specific training with blended families, families of incest victims, adults from dysfunctional homes and I have studied helping strategies involved in the treatment of many other presenting mental health problems.
I believe in the inherent dignity of each person and focus on the uniqueness of each client. The path taken in therapy is often one that builds on the foundation of a client's life experiences and helps them move forward with less pain.

Bio
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Indiana I have worked with individuals, couples and families since 1980. I have experience working at a social service agency in Cincinnati, OH, a local mental health center, a local substance abuse center, home based services and am now in a private practice setting at the Acacia Center. My clinical experience includes outpatient treatment with individuals, couples and families, home based treatment with individuals, couples and families and residential treatment with individuals and groups. I work hard on developing rapport and have a professional commitment to providing the best care possible.
