A Holistic Approach to a Client-Centered Practice
HOLISTIC HEALTH MASSAGE THERAPY
A holistic approach to a client-centered practice. The sessions are based on the needs communicated by the client, and how the the therapist feels is the best way to help them with those needs. The client and the therapist will always agree on the treatment plan before the sessions begin. What the client wants is first and foremost. Then the therapist determines what could best benefit the client. Our practice also includes treatment plans that will give the clients homework to help with their needs in between sessions.
Education/Training
I attended The Body Therapy Institute. Silk Hope, North Carolina. There I was trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Hydro-therapy, and Oriental Bodywork. I have continued my education through my school in Reflexology, Medical Massage, and Chakra balancing.

Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist NC #6120
In 2005, I graduated from The Body Therapy Institute in Silk Hope, North Carolina where I completed courses in many different modalities such as Swedish Massage, Myofascial Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Oriental Bodywork, and Hydro-therapy. I have continued my education in reflexology, chakra balancing, and Medical Massage.
I realized my gift for massage at a young age as my family and friends would always ask me to give them massages. I decided to attend school and turn this gift into a career after an 11 year run in a hospitality management career. When I decided to attend school, my expectations were nothing close to what I would experience in the months ahead. My not so well known gift would turn into a well educated passion to help others help themselves through knowledge of the human body, and its systems. I never thought our education would go as deep as it did, and still does. The integration of anatomy, kinesiology, pathology, and the hands-on modalities I was trained in gives a confidence that I did not realize I would have when I graduated school. A confidence in being able to help clients with whatever they need whether it be through massage or referring to the proper resource if it is out of my scope of practice.
I approach my practice from a holistic stand point and sessions are determined by the client. I assess the clients needs and discuss what we think will be best to address those needs during that session and the sessions ahead. I also work with the client by helping them with their self-care and their needs in between sessions. For example, self-awareness, exercise, stretching, referrals, etc. I have been very successful with helping clients with chronic pain, muscle tension, and many other issues. This has been most effective when the client is involved as much as the the therapist. I the therapist can help considerably. But when the client works with me, the desired results come much quicker and stay longer as well. Sometimes pain and hypertension tends to come back quickly if the things that manifest them are not changed, or at least been brought to the clients attention. This is called self-awareness. I work with my clients to help them bring these things to their own attention so they can be more aware on a daily basis. Knowing is half the battle in sustaining a pain free lifestyle.
I look forward to helping you feel better. Or feel GREAT!
