Bio
I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years and as a Mental Health Counselor for 16 years. I have enjoyed working with children and families in a variety of settings including group homes, residential settings, and with children and families in the Child Welfare system with a focus on abuse issues. I also conducted child intakes, adoption home-studies, facilitated psycho-educational and supports groups for children and families, and provided individual and family therapy. I have worked with families who come in with various problems such as: the effects of traumas of emotional abuse, physical abuse, and sexual abuse, removal from biological parents, grief and loss issues, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, separation anxiety or extreme fears, Attention Deficit Disorder, separation and divorce issues, and addictions.
