John Watts, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist with 20 years experience, providing individual,and family therapy by utilizing a strength-based, collaborative, holistic approach, that allows him to have a greater sense of his clients’ emotional, mental, social and spiritual needs, and finding viable solutions to reach a more optimal level of functioning.

Mr. Watts conducts psychotherapy with individuals who are challenged with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, adjustment/transitional, vocational, interpersonal issues, as well as substance-abuse/addictions, dual diagnoses, and related codependency issues

Mr. Watts has a dual degree in psychology and Pastoral counseling for those who prefer a more holistic, biblical approach combined with evidenced-based cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing which facilitates his clients’ ability to cope with negative thoughts and behaviors that may hinder relationships and overall quality of life. He believes in providing a collaborative and supportive environment to maximize the therapeutic experience and identify what strengths and resources his client’s have to create the meaningful change in their lives that they are seeking.
Bio
John received his undergraduate degree in psychology and pastoral counseling at SouthEastern College, Lakeland, Florida, and his masters MSW at Florida International University, Miami, Florida.
He has 20 years counseling experience, and over 30 years social service/ministry outreach. His main expertise is in substance abuse/addictions, and pastoral/Biblical Counseling integrated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Memberships
Mr. Watts received his Master’s degree in social work from Florida International University,
his Bachelor’s degree in psychology And pastoral counseling from Southeastern College, and is a member of Phi Alpha and
Alpha Chi National Honor Societies respectively.
