Expertise and Compassion for Psychological Aspects of
Infertility, Dreamwork, Health Concerns & Life Transitions
Judith L. White, PhD

Dr. Judith White is a licensed clinical psychologist in west Los Angeles. For over 25 years, she has maintained a wide-ranging private practice that includes individuals, groups, couples, children and families. Her work draws on developmental and depth psychologies as well as family systems theory. Dr. White’s current special interests include the psychological aspects of infertility, dreamwork, trauma and bridging cultural differences.

She received a masters degree in developmental psychology from the University of Michigan. She went on to earn a doctorate in clinical psychology at UCLA, where she interned at the Neuropsychiatric Institute as well as Saint Johns’ Child Study Center.

Dr. White is a past consultant to Headstart, where she conducted child evaluations, parent education and staff training at various sites. Parents seeking advice about their children appreciate Dr. White’s extensive background in child development. She helps children and families with issues that involve discipline, life transitions and loss such as divorce and death, and academic and social challenges.

Dr White views dreams as an often untapped resource, providing guidance for unresolved issues in waking life. She leads a monthly dream group and is certified in Robert Bosnak’s Embodied Imagination method of dreamwork. She is particularly excited about the use of dreams to help those coping with health issues, artists who wish to enhance their creative output, and trauma survivors. She facilitates a dream group and volunteers for the Soldiers Project, a group that offers free counseling to military service members of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts and their families.
