Bio
I strongly believe that “Health is not simply the absence of illness”. In addition to Massage being effective in both acute and chronic injury recovery, I feel it is also essential in the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. I have a strong passion for this healing profession, and try to pass along that knowledge, passion and enthusiasm to my students at the Cortiva Institute Boston, in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology classes.
Before becoming a Massage Therapist, I traveled extensively and enjoyed a background in Archaeology; after a serious back injury on ‘a dig’, I received my first massage. Massage, and other therapies, helped me immensely. I returned to school, studying Massage Therapy, Hot Stone Massage, Reiki and Therapeutic Touch. I continue to learn and evolve in my practice, and am enjoying every minute. My health is important to me so I make sure to see my own massage therapist regularly!
