Change can be incremental or over a period of years; the patient efforts along with the
therapist imput is a crucial ingredient.
BRIEF THERAPY. Couples therapy: five to seven sessions initially followed by a progress assessment and extant issues. Partners may be seen individually to assess individual concerns. Brief Therapy is not designed for extended treatment; the most urgent issues are addressed at the onset of therapy. Subsequent sessions a consideration.
As one contemplates psychotherapy; it is advantageous to become familiar with the various psychotherapists and their treatment perspectives. Existentialist / Former U.S. Army Medic 1964-66. Experience: Federal, State, County penal institutions. 15 years experience working in Child Protective Services ( San Diego, Arizona, Los Angeles, New Mexico )
