Orientation is strength based therapy helping individuals & couples to overcome problem saturated stories & relationships with problems. Conducted smoke cessation treatment in both group & individual formats.
Education/Training
After completing graduate work at Carnegie Mellon, worked in many settings including military, family & children's' services, residential treatment centers & psychiatric hospitals in which engaged in in service training ranging from eating, attachment, hypnosis, abuse offenders, trauma, anxiety & family therapy. Attended many workshops in marriage & family treatment, child therapy. In the last 20 years specialized more in strength based therapies helping families & individuals alter relationships with the problems in their lives & relationships by discovering preferred stories, experiences & resources to put to work to alter the problem saturated ones. Completed the 3 year intensive training program by the Cleveland Gestalt Therapy Program. Taught in Graduate Social Work program at Cleveland State University & was an adjunct instructor with Case Western Reserve University Mandel School of Social Services. Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.Volunteered in Salvation Army Harbor Light Program Detox & group treatment for persons separating from alcohol & other drug misuse. Counselling in work related issues.
Bio
Father & grandfather, widower, enjoy jazz, play clarinet, avid reader & like to watch quality movies & plays. Enjoy the friendship of colleagues & personal friends, & family.
