Expert Psychotherapy and Counseling
Noga and Associates
Individual, family, couples and child psychotherapy. Long and short term therapy. EMDR for rapid resolution of trauma. In my work with couples and parents, I place a strong emphasis on accountability as essential to improvement in relationships. I often will work on an individual basis with both members of a couple, as well as seeing them together. This allows me a comprehensive understanding of all contributing factors in a couple's problems.I have the ability not to "take sides" in couple or family problems. The result has been a high success rate in my family and marital therapy. In my work with children, I always evaluate a child's problem in the context of the family system. Parents need to be willing to be involved in the treatment. Sometimes I will meet only with the parents, with excellent results.
Education/Training
Masters Degree from the Merrill Palmer Institute, 1979

Bio
I have a Masters Degree in Humanistic and Clinical Psychology and am licensed as both a Masters Social Worker and a Limited Licensed Psychologist. I have been a certified EMDR practitioner for 12 years. The heart of my approach is humanistic, meaning that I view my clients as equals, rather than "patients" .I have been in private practice for over 30 years treating clients of all ages for depression, anxiety, trauma recovery and relationship difficulties. My reputation has been built on my commitment to my clients as well as honesty, support and goal-focused therapy. My goal as a therapist is to understand a client's underlying issues and the necessary therapeutic interventions as quickly as possible. I often will give clients feedback and a sense of direction for the therapy by the end of their first session. As a Humanistic therapist, I believe deeply in the ability of individuals, couples and families to heal themselves. Often we need guidance and a witness to our process to achieve this. I feel a profound commitment to my clients, as is evidenced in my ongoing professional training, rapid evaluation and accessibility to clients. I pride myself on returning phone calls in short order.
