Bio
I am a bilingual Russian speech/language pathologist with a specialty in pediatric speech and language disorders. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, hospital/rehabilitation centers, as well as early intervention/home care. Currently, I have my own private practice in Central New Jersey, where one of my specialties is providing speech and language services to internationally adopted children.
My past consulting positions included providing per diem speech and language therapy services at the Children's Specialized Hospital of New Brunswick to children 0-21 years of age with a variety of neurogenic, developmental, and acquired disorders including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, as well as feeding and swallowing deficits. Additionally, I've conducted 0-3 early intervention assessments for the Arc of Somerset, an organization dedicated to providing services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities including genetic syndromes, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, and autism spectrum disorders.
Presently, in addition to my private clients I provide comprehensive speech & language evaluations and treatment including group & individual therapy services to children and young adults ages 3-18 diagnosed with constellation of speech/language deficits secondary to psychiatric and emotional disturbances at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/University Behavioral Center - Child and Adolescent Day Program. There I am a member of a multidisciplinary unit team focused on delivery of psychosocial and behavioral services.
I am also a member of New York and Central New Jersey Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD) multidisciplinary teams, the aim of which is to provide a variety of services including assessment and intervention of children identified or presenting with features of FASD. For more information regarding the FASD project and its members, please visit http://bgcenter.com/BGCenterServices/FASDinSchoolProject.htm.
My hospital based and clinical affiliations enable me to keep up to date with the latest techniques and methodology in the discipline of speech language pathology.
