Therapy is not a lifestyle, it is a process. Dealing with the difficulties of life can cause distressing feelings which can interfere with your relationships and general well being. My hope is that when confronted by such distress, our work together will serve to guide you through these obstacles. Used as a tool, therapy can restore or discover your sense of balance. As your therapist, my role is to assist you in utilizing your strengths to attain that goal. Through this process, we will identify the influences or circumstances that decrease your satisfaction and discover the tools needed to overcome them.
No matter if you're experiencing anxiety, depression, or general dissatisfaction, we will work as a team to identify your goals and use your strengths to achieve them. We will create the tools that work best for you to maintain your balance and utilize should you experience distress in the future.
Using brief-solution focused therapy or an insight-oriented long term approach, my clients have overcome grief/loss, identified strategies for coping in difficult relationships, developed parenting skills, resolved childhood trauma, eliminated self destructive behaviors and navigated phase of life difficulties. We will apply the approach that best suits you.
