Our psychology is focused on our patients’ knowledge, attitudes, cognitions, and social influences that may be hindering change and leading to sustained unhealthy behaviour patterns. A better understanding of these processes helps identify advanced ways to support the breakout of such unhealthy routines.

Psychotherapy or counselling or talk therapy
There are many types of talk therapy, including cognitive behaviouraltherapy or dialectical behaviourtherapy, which is often done one-on-one or with your family. This type of therapy can be helpful even for those who do not have a mental health condition and are simply going through challenging life situations (grief, divorce, etc.). *Note: Psychologists in Australia can’t prescribe medicine.
