Why Use Distance Therapy?

Distance counseling can be especially valuable for individuals dealing with issues that are difficult and may create a sense of shame or embarrassment. It is also great for people who are busy and do not have the time, resources, or desire to attend traditional face-to-face therapy sessions.

Benefits of Distance Counseling:

Absence of face-to-face contact
Lack of body language
Lack of verbal cues
Technical issues can hamper communication at times

Anonymity
Services are available to you 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
No waiting or traveling
Affordable
Private
Safe
Easy
Easily accessible for all
Less intimidating
Each client can request an appointment on their own terms
The client is in total control over their environment
Services are provided at the client’s comfort level, in their own environment
Allows clients to involve others as they see it to be beneficial

Disadvantages Of Distance Counseling:

Absence of face-to-face contact
Lack of body language
Lack of verbal cues
Technical issues can hamper communication at times

Your healing and growth is solely dependent upon your willingness to make changes and open up to your therapist.
