Practice Information
Austin’s Communication Station is a small, privately owned speech therapy clinic in Austin, Texas. The clinic’s owner, Amy Bartelt MS, CCC-SLP, BCBA, was inspired to create this business to help families get unique and individualized plans of care and treatment based on the particular needs of each child and his/her family. At Austin’s Communication Station we believe that every child is different. Therefore our approach to helping them and their families should be different for every child.

Our staff of speech-language pathologists have specialized training in a variety of areas including applied behavior analysis, Hanen Language Approach, Michelle Garcia Winner programming, Oral Motor techniques, LindaMood Bell techniques, as well as many other pediatric therapy techniques.

The speech pathologists at Austin’s Communication Station have experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses, including: autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, speech and language delay, fluency disorder, articulation/phonological impairment, cognitive impairment, learning disabilities, developmental delay, developmental apraxia, and many others.

We provide:

Free screenings to determine if your child is in need of speech therapy

Extensive individual evaluations to determine your child’s needs and design a personalized plan of care for your child.

Individual speech therapy sessions — Allow children to achieve their speech and language goals in a very individualized speech session. The SLP will plan sessions with your child's goals in mind and choose materials and activities that he/she will respond best to.

Group therapy sessions — Utilizing social thinking and social cognitive strategies (by Michelle Garcia Winner) to improve the social communication skills of children with peers.

“Parent Talk Time” after every session to help parents feel connected with the therapist and understand what they can do at home to help their child progress.
