Clinical hypnotherapy is the blending of traditional talk therapy and hypnosis, which allows the client to access the deep “stories” of their subconscious mind and to make changes to that internal “programming” in record time. American Health Magazine reported the following statistics: • Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions • Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions • Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions
Many people believe that hypnosis should only be used as a last resort for smoking cessation, weight loss or changing habits. Few people know that hypnotherapy is a dynamic and vital healing process which embraces all aspects of mental health care.
Client-centered hypnotherapy is a partnership between the client and the therapist. Through the process of hypnosis and/or regression, the subconscious mind can go directly to the original cause of the trauma or habit. These feelings can be healed and released, thus empowering the clients to let go of old beliefs about themselves and others. Ultimately, this therapy allows clients to live the life they want to live by giving them the power of choice.
Transpersonal hypnotherapy is an orientation toward clinical hypnotherapy that addresses the relationship between the mind, body and spirit. It emphasizes the innate spiritual resources within each individual, connecting the client with the guidance of a Higher Power to bring insights and experiences that lead to the client's highest good. This is not connected to any specific religious orientation, but rather to an inner “knowing” that makes it possible for clients to explore their relationship to a Universal Creator and their own unique spiritual walk through life.
I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Professional Member of the Association for Transpersonal Psychology and Hypnotherapy. By blending ancient shamanic tools for self-transformation with modern understanding of the human mind, I help you to reintegrate the “missing pieces” of yourself so that you can resolve unwanted patterns of behavior, find peace and inner harmony, and feel whole and alive again. By erasing the traumas of past abuse, abandonment, and accidents/injuries (including PTSD), you can come back to the experience of thriving, not just surviving, and of reconnection to your higher Wisdom and soul’s purpose for your life. |

Bio: |
I have been a resident of the Sacramento Valley and the foothills almost continually since 1970. I spent three years at Nevada Union High School, and graduated from Forest Lake Christian School as Valedictorian. From there I received a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics from UC Davis and a California Clear Multiple Subject teaching credential from Bethany College in Scotts Valley. After teaching in the classroom for several years, I took time off to raise three beautiful children. When the eldest was in high school, I began to look for more creative ways to express my heart's desire to help others heal themselves.
Hypnotherapy was just what I was looking for! I graduated from the California Hypnotherapy Academy in Sacramento, which is directed by Katherine Zimmerman PhD, a well-known and respected leader in the field. In addition to 100 hours of basic hypnotist training, Katherine also requires another 100 hours in advanced techniques and a supervised practicum, as well as the successful passing of the exam set by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, for completion of her certified Hypnotherapist course. Yet another 100 hours of training in various advanced modalities, such as EFT, as well as ongoing continuing education, is required for the title of certified Clinical Hypnotherapist through ACHE. In conjunction with my hypnosis training and therapeutic studies, I began an apprenticeship in shamanic healing, studying intensively with Dr. Hank Wesselman and Jill Kuykendall to learn the beautiful art of soul retrieval and spirit healing. I find that these two practices blend very well with hypnotherapy, and that together they allow me to guide my clients into an even more balanced way of being in the world.
My greatest joy in this work comes from helping people to find freedom: both from the debilitating effects of soul loss and from the tyranny of unconsciously-held beliefs about themselves, others and the world around them. I am here to guide you in your exploration beneath the surface of your conscious awareness; to rediscover, heal and integrate these lost pieces of yourself so that you can live the more whole, satisfying and meaningful life you've always known you were meant to have. |
