Bio: |
I've been a homeowner and resident of Aptos since the mid 1980s. I raised my two children here and now help out with my 2 year old granddaughter. I am a former engineering manager in Silicon Valley and made a career change after an auto accident.
I was a patient of chiropractic and have seen numerous chiropractors over the years in the Bay Area before attending Palmer. When I was hurt at work the allopathic (standard) medicine could only take an x-ray and point out why I was hurting on the film. And then the offer of the opioid pain reliever and they send you on your way. That was it for several months. That presents several problems: 1) how do you drive to work when you have to take a narcotic for pain?, 2) how do function at work when you're under the influence of narcotics?, and 3) why am I not getting better? Even after changing medical doctors, it was the same thing - here are the pharmaceuticals and some day, hopefully, you'll recover. I did not need hopefully. How many days or weeks are there in "hopefully"? Or is it going to be months or years or ever?
After a chance meeting with a now-retired chiropractor and in a single adjustment the pain was gone! I was dizzy for a few minutes after the adjustment but relieved of pain. That was no coincidence. |
