Education
Kimberly's training includes play therapy (using a child's natural language of play to address issues), particularly sand tray, EMDR (one of the most effective techniques for trauma), solution focused, and mindfulness approaches. In addition to private practice, her experience includes foster care, adoption, shelter, school, and sexual assault crisis center settings.
Bio:
We are based on a private psychotherapy practice founded by Kimberly Rodgers, LCSW, RPT-S in 2008. As referrals increased beyond Kimberly's scheduling capacity and some clients preferred to wait rather than be referred out, the practice grew with additional therapists in 2010.

Kimberly pursued training as a yoga teacher to incorporate into therapy with awareness of the mental, emotional, and physical benefits of yoga. Through the experience, she became even more aware of the spiritual benefits and importance of the interconnection of all pieces in the healing process. Research continues to validate that therapeutic approaches connecting mind, body, and spirit, and addressing the complete brain, including integration of right and left hemispheres, allow for more comprehensive long-lasting healing beyond traditional talk therapy by accessing the subconscious at a deeper level.

Such integrative approaches include EMDR and sand tray therapy.
