I have been in private practice for 30 years. I work mostly with individuals and couples. Most of my clients come for relationship /communication issues- with spouses, partners, kids, and co-workers.
I primarily problem-solve, use cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, help with goal-setting, and coping tools and techniques.
I am action-oriented, and provide lots of ideas and assistance in solving problems and difficulties. I don't just sit and listen. i provide feedback and make suggestions of specific behaviors to use between sessions.
Some areas that I cover are ,anxiety, depression, life transitions ,disordered eating, stress, grief and loss. I help individuals find meaning in their lives, get "un-stuck and move on with their lives. I know how difficult change is. but you have made the first step by looking for help. Congratulations! |

I attended antioch university and received an m.a. in clinical psychology.
I interned for 5 years at the southern california counseling center.
I was licensed as a marriage and family therapist in 1981 and have been in private practice ever since.
I enjoy public speaking and often provide lectures to corporations on health and wellness, change in the workplace, work/life balance, communication, and relaxation. |
