Contact Sally Connolly, LMFT
I am a psychotherapist and coach, licensed in marriage and family therapy. I have been interested in the helping profession since my teenage years and have been practicing professionally for over 35 years. In my career, I have worked in the non-profit and governmental sector as well as in a private clinical setting and have served as adjunct faculty for the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work, the post-master’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program and The Louisville Seminary. I have also taught several classes over the years, among them were Couples Counseling and Introduction To Family Therapy. My husband, John Turner, and I have been specializing in couple work for over 15 years. My style is very practical and direct relying a great deal on the research of John Gottman, PhD. Gottman’s research has clearly identified the skills, beliefs and knowledge that are present in healthy relationships and I incorporate this into everyday practice with couples. I also uses the strengths and resources from the style of a solution-focused counseling approach. Clients appreciate the approach that does not linger on the problem, rather finds ways to quickly work toward solutions. I practice both with clients in the room as well as through email, instant messaging, phone and vide conferencing.
