I specialize in anxiety, fear, chronic worry, and panic and enjoy helping people discover how to move forward towards their dreams and goals. I work collaboratively with my clients, from tweens and teens to adults, bringing forth their strengths, abilities, and inner resources. I also work with couples in stress and transition, helping them to get back to responding instead of reacting, listening instead of arguing, and re-discovering what they stand for and desire as a couple.
My personal experience with an anxiety disorder and panic attacks led me on the search to get my life back. I went to many therapists over the years and felt like a failure because their traditional behavioral-based techniques just didn't work for me. Finally, I found my own path out through the combination of Mindfulness-Based therapies, Self-Relations Psychology and Mindbody Attunement. You do not have to live your life in service of fear and anxiety, and current scientific research proves that we can be free of what Dan Siegal calls, "the mental traps of the mind" in his groundbreaking book, Mindsight. My personal motto is: "Manage Your Life Not Your Anxiety.
