I am broadly trained as a psychologist, psychotherapist and minister of the Gospel. I have thirty years of clinical experience in the consultation room working with people who are distressed and often suffering from debilitating symptoms. I practice individual psychotherapy, marital therapy, and personality assessment as a licensed Psychologist (PSY14007) and Marriage & Family Therapist (MFC14374). I am also endorsed as a Pastoral Counselor by the American Baptist Churches, USA.
I have an APA-approved doctorate in clinical psychology and four years post-doctoral training in psychoanalysis. I also have an earned graduate degree in theology. This serves me well in doing depth psychotherapy or psychoanalysis with those who need assistance in living a thoughtful and centered life. I am equipped to hear the subtle and profound communications of my patients that need to be understood before they can experience healing at the deepest levels. I am especially equipped to understand the anxieties that people of faith bring to the psychologist's office. They often fear their beliefs will not be understood nor respected.
While I specialize in working with people of faith, I also work with folks from every walk of life. I work well with those suffering from anxiety and fears, depression and other mood disorders, relational and marital difficulties, sexual dysfunction, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, and those who are mired in repetitive patterns of destructive behavior.
