As a board certified educational therapist, I work with children and adolescents who struggle in school due to learning differences. I specialize in ADHD and executive functioning challenges as well as reading decoding and fluency, reading comprehension, expressive writing, and study skills and test taking anxiety. Through my work with children, I am able to authentically build self-esteem, which ultimately leads to greater success in school.
In addition to my private practice, I supervise Learning Coaches who tutor students in my after school homework program, called The Learning Spot. All of my coaches are either credentialed teachers or they are in school working toward degrees in teaching or speech and language. Furthermore, I have recently hired educational therapy interns to supervise. Both of my interns are in school working toward their Master's Degrees in Educational Therapy. They are available to remediate skills in reading, writing, and math. They also work on building study skills, test taking skills, and they help to improve skills in executive functioning, such as organization, planning, and time-management.
