Healing from painful life experiences can be difficult on your own. If you are currently struggling with challenges in your life, participating in therapy is a proactive way to make changes. By working together, you will gain greater insight into your thoughts and behaviors. With this increased self-awareness you can begin to change those things you’d like to change about yourself and end self-defeating patterns of behavior.
I believe the client/therapist relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental environment in which we will work together to help you achieve your goals. I view each client as a unique individual and work from the assumption that you know yourself best. However, I will challenge you to consider new ways of looking at issues and help you learn new tools and coping techniques to deal with the challenges you are facing.
I work with clients in individual and group settings. Currently, I am accepting new clients for individual counseling and a postpartum support group. I also work with couples interested in premarital counseling using the PREPARE/ENRICH program.
